Gigi Bacon

Executive Assistant & Performer

Originally from Australia, Gigi Bacon holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from Melbourne University’s Conservatorium of Music. During her studies, she performed with various choirs and ensembles at some of Melbourne’s most iconic cathedrals and concert venues. Since graduating, Gigi has participated in several prestigious Young Artist Training Programs, including Bel Canto in Tuscany (Greve in Chianti, Italy, 2022) and the AAMS Summer Young Artist Program (Todi, Italy, 2023). In October 2024, she made her Edinburgh debut, playing Johanna in Blackout Productions’ Sweeney Todd, directed by Susie Dumbeck.

Gigi’s passion for children’s theatre began in 2013 when she performed in Stage School Australia’s touring production of Seussical the Musical. Since then, supporting children’s access to the arts has been central to both her professional and personal journey. Before relocating to Edinburgh, Gigi worked with various theatre and music schools across Melbourne. At Parkville School of Music, she developed an early learners’ educational syllabus, creating a music aural skills program for children under five. Additionally, she served as a Production Coordinator and Vocal Assistant for summer theatre camps, including Camp Rock (January 2023) and 13! The Musical (January 2022).

Alongside her work at Dragon Song Productions, Gigi is a singing teacher at Morningside School of Music and serves as a Choral Assistant for the school’s Under 18s Contemporary Choir.
