Our Team

Jane has always enjoyed the process of turning raw materials into something functional, amusing and beautiful. It's an added bonus if the end result produces all three! She adores the versatility of felt making and started developing puppets around 15 years ago using soft Merino wool.

She loves the playfulness and scope that making puppets brings and has enjoyed inventing and creating new characters over the years who seem to take on a life of their own!

Jane jumped at the opportunity to make puppets for 'Moon Dragon' at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe and quickly became part of the creative team at Dragon Song Productions.

Jane made the amazing puppet characters for Sea Dragon and is currently immersed in creating new puppet characters for Dragon Tales - the interactive storytelling workshop- and Ice Dragon - the show launching in December 2023.

“It has been inspiring watching my creations being brought to life by the team at Dragon Song Productions. They weave each character into a captivating story and set it to beautiful music which the children adore. I never know where the stories will go next, but I love how fun each puppet character is. They truly have their own personalities, which I just love creating!”

Jane spends the rest of her year as a classroom assistant at a busy Edinburgh primary school and running Raggedy Rouge Puppets.
